Frequently asked questions

Questions people ask first.

Short, plain answers to common questions about getting started with Laurelwell.

Getting started

  • How do I know which service I need?

You do not have to know. Tell us what is going on, and we will help you find a starting point. Find Care and Request Care both begin with your need, not a department.

  • Can Laurelwell help me find a primary care provider?

Yes. Primary Care is available at all three locations. You can look at the care team, choose a location that works for you, and request care. We will help with the rest.

  • What happens after I request care?

Your request is reviewed, and the right Laurelwell team is identified. You will be told who owns the next step. Any language, transportation, or accessibility needs you mention stay with your request.

  • What if I'm not sure where to start?

Start with Find Care or Request Care and describe the situation in your own words. You do not need the right medical terms or the right department.

Visits

  • Where are Laurelwell locations?

Laurelwell has three locations: Main Campus, Laurelwell North, and the Family & Community Center. Each location page lists services, hours, and access details. This is a fictional prototype, so no street addresses are shown.

  • What should I bring to my first visit?

Photo identification if you have it, a current medication list, any relevant health information, questions you'd like to discuss, and insurance information if it applies. Preparing for Your Visit has a checklist.

  • Can primary care and behavioral health work together?

Yes. With your agreement, your primary care provider and your counselor can share what helps you get care. You will know who is involved and who is responsible for each next step.

  • How do I find my care team?

The Care Team page lists Laurelwell providers by service and location. Each profile shows the person's role, where they work, and what you can expect from them.

Access and support

  • Can I ask for transportation support?

Yes. Tell us before your visit if getting here is a concern. Community Services can help you look at transportation options. Support depends on your situation and where you live.

  • Is language support available?

Yes. You can ask for language assistance when you request care or before a visit. Tell us the language you prefer, and we will plan for it.
