COMMUNICATIONS DESIGN

Make the message clear wherever people meet it.

We design clear messages and useful materials for the places people encounter your organization—from a screen to a public space, event, or printed piece.

Printed signage, packaging, tags and brochures from a retail concept study, shown together as one communication system.

START WITH THE PROBLEM

Start with the communication problem, not a product list.

Communication work that carries an organization’s message into real settings. It begins with four questions.

  • AudienceWho needs to understand, and what do they already know?
  • MessageWhat has to be clear, and in whose words?
  • ContextWhere will people meet it: a page, a place, an event, a hand-off?
  • ActionWhat should they do next, and how easy is it?

WHAT WE DO

Four ways we help a message land.

  • Campaign & Public Information

Clear communication for initiatives, announcements, outreach, and public-facing programs.

For example Public notices · Campaign materials · Program guides

  • Environmental & Event Communications

Signage and materials that help people navigate, understand, and participate in a place or event.

For example Wayfinding and directional signs · Event graphics · Display and window graphics

  • Organizational Materials

Useful documents and materials for staff, partners, customers, and communities, including selected apparel where it serves a communication purpose.

For example Reports and service guides · Onboarding materials · Team apparel

  • Production Coordination

Preparing files, managing specifications and approvals, and coordinating qualified production partners when physical delivery is needed.

For example Production-ready files · Proofs and approvals · Vendor coordination

Avenier designs, prepares, and coordinates the work. Printing and fulfillment may be provided by qualified third-party production partners.

IN PRACTICE

Where the work shows up.

  • A public notice sign on a city sidewalk explaining that a walkway panel has reopened, with a worker placing traffic cones nearby.

    Explaining a public initiative

A notice, a guide, and a web page that give people the same clear next step.

  • Volunteers setting up an outdoor welcome table with directional signs, a banner, and printed handouts.

Reaching people at an event or place

Signs, banners, and printed pieces that help a growing audience find its way and take part.

  • A team member pinning photographs and notes to a wall board while shaping a campaign message.

    Keeping staff aligned

Guides, onboarding materials, and templates that help a new service or program land internally.

  • A retail concept’s box, packing slip, labels and tags, each carrying one consistent identity.

    Keeping information consistent

Extending an identity you already have into new materials, so every channel says the same thing.

TWO WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

On its own, or alongside what you already have.

  • A focused communication engagement

Start with a communication need. We work through the audience, message, setting, and materials, and coordinate production when physical delivery is needed.

  • Alongside other work

Where it helps, we can extend an Avenier website, software product, or campaign, or an identity you already use, so materials and digital experience stay consistent.

THE FIRST CONVERSATIONWe’ll discuss who needs to hear the message, what they need to do, where they’ll encounter it, and what you already have.

Either way, the scope is defined with you. Working with Avenier on a website or software is never required.

AVENIER LAB · CONCEPT STUDY

One message, carried across four touchpoints.

A fictional community center needs people to find help, understand what to do, and take the next step. The same message and visual system travel from screen to sign to hand.

Avenier Lab concept study, independently created to demonstrate our approach. Not commissioned client work; no results are reported.

  • A tablet showing the community center’s web page with a short menu of next steps.

    Webpage

Explains the service in plain language and offers one next step.

  • A tabletop Visitor Information sign with an arrow, carrying the same name and colors.

    Public notice

Puts the essential information where people already are.

  • A large event banner with the community center’s tagline, People Places Possibilities.

    Event signage

Helps people find the right table and understand what happens there.

  • A folded Community Resources brochure and a Plan Your Visit card that people can take with them.

    Take-home piece

Keeps the next step with people after they leave.

What connects themOne plain-language message, one visual system, and the same clear next step on every piece.
